I made this webpage because I thought the world should know about some of the great sites that are out there and what they contain.
Firstly, my n�1 site: Freeloader. You can download loads of great games from there totally FREE! Among others, you can downlaod Grand Theft Auto, Rat Attack , Halcyon Sun (An excelent space combat game produced exclusively for Freeloader.com) and Jimmy White's 2: Cueball. The list is constatly being updated so keep visiting it!
Another great free games site I have found: CompletelyFreeSoftware. Here you can download all kinds of freeware. Games, Extras for Windows, Graphics packages, Mail clients and many more! CompletelyFreeSoftware is definately a site to bookmark!
If I need Cheats, Hints or Walkthroughs for a game then I usually go to PCGame. It has a massive database of games and links to where you can find exactly what you want. You type in the name of your game and it finds it for you. Exelent.
Arcade@Home is a web page where you can download roms for Retrocade. Retrocade is an Arcade machine emulator which can let you play 114 old arcade games such as Spy Hunter and Pacman. It really is quite fun to play all these old games. You can download my favorite roms from here if you want but the Retrocade program you will have to download from Retrocade.com. Here are my favorite games: Spy Hunter, Tron, Disk of Tron (Yes, I like Tron), Joust, Missile Commander and Blasteroids.
Locker 3.2 is a program that I made. It Locks the computer so that no one can see your work or any sensitive information while you are watching TV / out somewhere. If the computer is reset without Locker having been quit by typing in the password, it will restart itself when the computer has restarted. I was very surprised when I couldn't find anything more secure! Even though it's very tough, anyone who is a professional in Windows and DOS will be able to deactivate it (Which is why I didn't think it was secure at first). Locker is skinnable (sort of) and has an amazing amount of options. If you have any ideas for extra options please E-Mail me at [email protected]. You MUST read the readme before running the program. This program can be dificult to deactivate if you don't know what password to use the first time you run it! You want to see a screenshot? If you are sure that you have the Visual Basic Runtime Dependancy Files, ou can download this version of Locker.
Shimmer is a program that moves your cursor a bit so that the screensaver does not come on. This is useful when you are defragmenting or doing something that will have to start again if anything is written to the disk. When the screensaver comes on, it causes it to restart. It's easier to start shimmer that turning off the screensaver and turning it back on again afterwards.
This is MSWLogo, a programming language that is easy for anyone to learn. It's a cool programming language, not that you can do much with it but it's easy and it's a good place to start learning the concepts of programming.
Slicer is a useful program to split files into small chunks to fit on disk. Essential!
You know that bit of annoying colour behind the text below your icons that blocks out the wallpaper? Well KILL IT with Transparent. It restores the wallpaper behind the text and makes look a whole lot more natural! Superb! You'll have to put in in your startup folder though because it's not restart persistant.
